About Chloe

To begin, I have a very scattered random background that ranges from dancing to Rockin Robin off a 1950s jukebox in my home to taking family photos in an F-16 jet.

It is odd, but since I am used to taking in so much, I can slow down and use the beauty around me in my designs. To me, though, beautiful design is not just on the computer or canvas; it is in leaves, similes, and nature; one cannot stop searching for more of it once one gets a taste. This all boils down to my emphasis on using the unconventional or not simply taking the easier route to save time. I enjoy making a magazine cover with mud, creating bold typography with spices, or even cutting out post-it notes to relate family to paper. I like to challenge people’s perspectives on how a product can be used.

Although, I still like to use the computer. The second I opened InDesign, I saw a grid and paragraph styles labeled header, subhead, and copy. Combining this with my love for maximalism (small nuances mean the most to me) allows me to create clear, legible, and eye-catching designs. In the end, though, I will stay organic, sketch for the flaws and the weird ideas, and ensure that what I create adds to the beauty of this world.
